What is a celebrant?

A funeral celebrant creates meaningful ceremonies tailored to honour a loved one. They will work with a family or individual to create a bespoke service, focusing on the wishes of the deceased and the close family. Funeral Celebrants will work alongside funeral directors and also work independently.

How do I find out more?

Please either call directy or fill out the contact form and I will get in touch straight away.

Can ceremonies be personalised?

Each ceremony is created uniquely and reflects stories, values, and wishes of the deceased. When we have our initial meeting, I will be gently asking you questions to find out all about your loved one. Once I have drafted your ceremony, I will ask you to check that everything is correct and following on from that I will be liasing with your funeral director if applicable.

Are religious rituals included?

I respect all beliefs and can incorporate various spiritual elements. I am totally open and flexible.

Can family members or friends speak at the service?

Yes, absolutely I am there to support and take over if on the day, a speaker feels overwhelmed. You can have friends or family giving tributes, playing music, reading poetry or singing.

Can I have a ceremony to scatter ashes?

I can create a meaningful ceremony to honour your loved one, this could take place at a natural burial ground or a favourite place.

Do you offer pet ceremonies?

Yes, our pets are so much part of our family. I can create a beautiful farewell to honour your pet and give you the time to say farewell in a meaningful way.

Which areas do you cover?

I am based in Saltdean, near Brighton. I am happy to travel within a 25-mile radius. This includes Eastbourne, Brighton, Worthing, Lewes and surrounding areas.
